A marriage came to an end because a wife decided to attend a Waka Flocka Flame concert.

Dianne D., a social media strategist, published an article "How a Waka Flocka Flame Concert Ended My Marriage and Saved My Life" on June 7 on her blog. The 53-year-old woman described how attending the rap star's concert last year changed her life in many ways. She wrote that the concert was the "nail in the coffin of my previous marriage."

Dianne got to know the rap star through social media, but her former husband was against the association. Befriending the No Hands rapper renewed her interest in Hip Hop and she created a blog, Deep Commotion which is about rap and Hip Hop reviews. However, her husband at the time was not supportive.

"My ex NEVER liked rap, my interest in rap and rap artists, or my blogging about rap. When I knew Waka was coming to Ft. Lauderdale, my husband basically said he wouldn't prevent me from going (as if) but he didn't want me to go," she wrote.

Dianne recalled that her former husband felt her life would be in danger if she attended the concert because "many black men would be putting their bodies in close proximity to mine."

He also warned that she could become a conquest of the 27-year-old rapper. He felt she would go clubbing with Waka and end up doing something she'd regret. Dianne ignored her husband's warnings. She also paid extra for a meet and greet with the rap star. The decision to attend the concert confirmed to Dianne that it was time for her to make a change in her life.

"It was time to make that break, and live my life without looking over my shoulder or being beholden to a man who didn't appreciate me or the interesting turns my life might take," she wrote. "We've been divorced for a few months now. I couldn't be happier."

Dianne responded to the outpouring of support on Twitter on Monday.
