Javi Marroquin may continue to be involved in his former step-son's life, but when it comes to Kailyn Lowry's new baby, there's no real reason for a relationship.

According to a new report, the Teen Mom 2 star has confirmed that while Marroquin has been close to her oldest son, seven-year-old Isaac, he will not serve as a father figure for her yet-to-be-named third child.

“I don’t see a reason for him to be involved other than knowing and acknowledging that this is Lincoln’s half sibling,” Lowry told Radar Online on August 16. “That being said, on my end, there is no bad blood. But I don’t think there is any reason for him to necessarily be involved.”

Lowry and Marroquin haven't had the best relationship in recent years but when it came to Lowry giving birth, her former husband reached out and sent his well-wishes.

“I didn’t ask how he was handling it,” she said. “But he did say congratulations.”

Marroquin previously told Radar Online, “I won’t have a relationship with the new baby.”

As for Lowry's relationship with her third child's father, Chris Lopez, she hopes he will step up as a dad.

“Every child deserves their dad,” Lowry said. “I’m hopeful. I’m positive he’ll be around. I think he has been as supportive as he can. He does the best to his ability even though it doesn’t necessarily meet the standards of what everyone else expects of him. I think people need to keep that in mind.”
