Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt kept their distance from one another on what would have been their third weding anniversary earlier this month.

According to a new report, Jolie and Pitt understandably kept their distance from one another as they prepare for the upcoming one-year anniversary of Jolie's divorce filing.

“Angelina ignored her ex, Brad, yesterday on what was and would have been their wedding anniversary,” a family insider explained to Hollywood Life on August 25. “After everything they have been through, neither one reached out to the other as they are both moving on with life alone.”

The report comes on the heels of another Hollywood Life report, which suggested that the actor was focused solely on his six kids and communicating with Jolie only for their sake.

“Brad’s priority is the kids and he’s committed to having the best relationship possible with Angie for their sake,” a source close to Pitt explained. “The kids are the only motivation for having any sort of relationship with her. He takes her calls and is always open to talking with her... Getting back together with her is not something he sees happening.”

“He wants every minute with them to be special and doesn’t need to take them out shopping or make some big song and dance about spending time with them,” the source said. “He wants to protect them and is well aware that taking them out in public is only going to put the spotlight on him and take away from his experience with them. He doesn’t care what people think as far as his visitation with the kids is concerned and he feels strongly that the less attention on them, the better.”
