Due to its popularity these days, some were wondering if there will be a "Game of Thrones" video game in the future. For years now, the fans are curious why no one has ever bothered to make a video game out of the hit HBO series.

Over the years, some reports are trying to get few poor attempts at the possible title for "Game of Thrones" video games. Most recently, there was one Telltale's narrative-driven game which had to work awkwardly within the current show plot points. However, this seemed to be not a full-on and massive RPG.

Latest reports from Forbes claimed that there appeared to be a new listing at Target which was mostly blank landing page except for the phrase, "Bethesda: Game of Thrones". Because there is a page that exists like this, some fans were claiming that a video game announcement patterned after the hit series is imminent. Moreover, it only implied that the studio handling the said project is no other than Bethesda which is the one behind "Fallout" series and "Elder Scrolls".

It can be recalled that Bethesda's "Elder Scrolls" is somewhat close in concept to "Game of Thrones" as any other game in the market with its focus on dragons, fantasy swordplay, as well as warring factions. This is not the first time reports escalated about Bethesda developing a secret title for the "Game of Thrones".

Further, Gamespot claimed before that Bethesda is working on two major video games and there is a possibility that the other one may be the "Game of Thrones" title. The other game which was mentioned is called "Starfield" which is somewhat related to sci-fi or action RPG. Even if there are no definite sources for the history of these leaks, till the listing may be totally out of nowhere.

Lastly, there was a report which escalated that Bethesda was offered a "Game of Thrones" video game project before Skyrim was developed but they opted to work on their own IP. But now, with the popularity of the series, perhaps they might have changed their mind.
