Joanna Krupa may be newly single after ending her three-year marriage to Romain Zago but that hasn't detered her from considering starting a family.

Just after the former Real Housewives of Miami star's divorce from Zago was finalized, the model is speaking out about her decision to freeze her eggs prior to her breakup from Zago, which reportedly occurred at the end of last year.

“Thank goodness I froze my eggs,” Krupa said during an interview with Life & Style magazine on August 31. “I would honestly be freaking out right now if I didn’t.” Joanna says she wants two kids, ideally a girl and a boy, and believes it’s smart for women to think about freezing their eggs when they’re young.

“You don’t want to wake up one day and be like, ‘My god, what was I thinking?’” she added. “I decided a few years ago to freeze them so I would be safe.”

Krupa and Zago tied the knot during the finale episode of The Real Housewives of Miami and announced they were headed for divorce this past spring. That said, the former couple appeared to be civil with one another when they attended a court hearing to finalize their split and were seen walking out of the facility together.

“You never know what life will bring,” Krupa continued. “What if that moment comes when you can’t have kids?”

While Krupa has not yet confirmed whether or not she is dating anyone after her split, an Us Weekly magazine report months ago suggested that the model had embarked on a romance with Nico Santucci.
