With Showtime's Dexter closing in on the launch of its eighth and final season, rumors on the highly anticipated installment are massively circulating.

Actress Aimee Garcia, who plays the part of Jamie Batista, aka Harrison's babysitter, spoke to TV Fanatic on June 11 about the upcoming season, and what fans should expect from its story arc.

"The scripts have more curveballs then I've ever read... and we'll see another side of Jamie.  Things progress.  Things happen," she explained.

Dexter's seventh season ended with a shocking twist, as Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) made the choice to kill longtime show fixture Captain LaGuerta (Lauren Velez) over her serial killer brother Dex.

Carpenter recently shared with Zap 2 it how hard it was to have to send her longtime friend and series regular off.

" I wish they'd had cameras on what was happening between takes. Lauren and I have a really special relationship, so on a personal level, it was complicated to be sending a friend off," Carpenter confessed.
