Paris Hilton's return to the music field is coming sooner rather than later.

Hilton said on Wednesday that her new album is "almost finished," despite signing with Cash Money only a few weeks ago.

"I'm in the studio and almost finished with the album," she told The Daily Beast Wednesday, "and yeah, they're just finishing up all the paperwork and there will be an announcement soon. But I'm so excited. I think they've created an amazing brand."

The heiress will have different collaborators on the album, including Lil Wayne and "some other surprise guests . . . it's going to be so sick. It's an electropop album with some dance-y songs."

Hilton hit the music scene in 2006 with her debut album Paris, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Bolstered by hit single Stars Are Blind, the album has sold 197,000 copies to date.

Hilton explained in her interview that she has "seen a lot of girls in Hollywood try and duplicate what I've done because I was the first one to do all of this." She continued, "I think it's flattering to see that people want to be like me, I guess."

Discussing her business-savvy nature, Hilton said that she was smarter than she leads on, saying that "people think because I'm blonde . . . that I'm an airhead, but if they saw me in a boardroom or business meeting doing my thing, they'd feel differently."

Hilton will be making a cameo appearance as herself in Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring about a group of celebrity-obsessed young girls who rob celebrity houses. The film stars Emma Watson as the group's leader. Hilton's house will be featured in the film.

The Bling Ring will be released in select theaters on June 14.

Hilton's second album does not yet have a release date.
