Actors are a lot more open about their anxiety issues than before. They candidly admit about facing mental issues like depression, anxiety and their battle with them.

According to a study by National Institute of Mental Health  ,20% of adults in America faced some or the other mental issue related to depression and even celebrities have their share at some point in their lifetime.

Recently TV star Lili Reinhart spoke about how she dealt with depression and anxiety as a struggling actress. The actress who plays the part of Betty Cooper revealed her experience in an interview with W magazine.

"I had so much anxiety booking work, and I spent almost five months holed up in this bedroom in this house just feeling anxious, waiting for my next audition, and not doing anything else. It was the most miserable time of my life." she said, admitting the severity of anxiety before being cast on Riverdale.

Emma Stone had anxiety bouts since childhood:


The Oscar-winning actress came out in open about her battle with anxiety and her recovery from therapy.

Stone revealed that she had anxiety bouts since an early age of 7. Emma spoke on the "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert" telling the host all about the nightmare.

"I was a very, very, very anxious child, and I had a lot of panic attacks," she explained on the show.

On the show, the 28-year-old actress illustrated her victory over anxiety in a drawing, from way back then, that read, "I am bigger than my anxiety".

Kristen Bell struggled for the first 15 years of her career

The 36-year-old star came out in open about her mental trauma and would want everybody going through tough time to speak up.

She was 18 when she sensed no logic behind her feeling of depression, reported Motto magazine in April. The star revealed how her mom sat her down and said, "If there ever comes a time where you feel like a dark cloud is following you, you can get help. You can talk to me, talk to a therapist, talk to doctor. I want you to know that there are options."

After keeping quiet about her battle with depression for about 15 years she took a cue from her mother's approach and haven't looked back since then.

Ryan Reynolds thought he was suffering from a neurological problem


The 40-year-old Deadpool star publicly opened up about his fight with depression last year.

"I had a nervous breakdown after wrapping Deadpool, I Literally had the shakes," the Canadian actor revealed to the People magazine in 2016.

He consulted a doctor because he thought he was suffering from a neurological problem, but instead found out, they were only anxiety issues.

Demi Lovato had insecurities related to her body image

Actor and singer Demi Lovato has been open about her issues related to anxiety and bipolar disorder.

The 24-year-old pop star in an interview with American Way  magazine, in 2016, spoke about her low self-esteem related to her body image and weight issues.

She revealed that her anxiety began when she was 2 or 3 years old " Even though I was 2 or 3 years old, being around somebody who was 80 pounds and had an active eating disorder ... it's hard not to grow up like that," she explained.

The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer is now trying to help others as a mental health ambassador and is said to be on a mission fighting the stigma.
