Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin filmed the new season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars months ago and now, fans are just weeks away from the series' premiere.

During a new interview with OK! Magazine on September 29, the Teen Mom 2 star opened up about what fans can expect to see from her and Marroquin on the show and admitted there were “a ton of ups and downs!”

“I wanted what’s best for Lincoln, and what’s best for him is for Javi and I to get along and so I was hoping we would find a way to help us get along while we were there,” she said about why she signed on to appear on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

“Before going on the show, [our relationship] was so up and down there were extreme highs and extreme lows, just a little it of chaos,” she explained.

Lowry and Marroquin began filming the series after he returned home from his deployment in Qatar and shortly after filming wrapped at the end of 2016, their divorce was finalized.

Although Lowry wasn't convinced that she and Marroquin had any chance at a civil relationship prior to entering the show, she later admitted that getting back together was something that ran through her mind.

“Wild thoughts, that I maybe could see it working but something else would happen where I would be like, ‘This is why we got divorced and this is why it won’t work ever again,'” she said.

As for their current relationship, Lowry said that their relationship is "a roller coaster, still ups and downs. I never know, one day its good, one day its bad.”
