Should The Weeknd be worried? According to a new report, Selena Gomez is allegedly keeping in touch with Brad Pitt by scheduling regular phone calls with the actor.

After facing romance rumors before and after Pitt's split from Angelina Jolie last year, a source claims Gomez and Pitt have remained in touch, despite Gomez's relationship with her musician boyfriend.

“Brad’s a huge fan of Selena,” a source told Radar Online on October 5. “They’ve stayed in touch ever since the Golden Globes last year.”

During the 2016 Golden Globe Awards last January, Gomez shared a photo of herself staring into Pitt's eyes as he seemed to be deep in conversation while seated beside her.

“Of course, it was the worst possible time for him to start a new romance, but the spark was definitely there and she was hugely attracted to him as well,” the source noted. “Brad really admires how courageous Selena’s been throughout her health crisis, and she’s equally proud of him for getting sober.”

Gomez and Pitt later starred alongside one another in The Big Short and according to the report, it was Pitt's idea to meet up with Gomez after the show.

“I was in my dressing room and I had just finished performing,” Gomez told Ellen DeGeneres at the time. “They knocked on my door and they said Brad Pitt would like to come in and I was like, ‘He can come in!'”

“I was trying to play cool and be really nice,” she added. “He was like, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ I was like, ‘Can I have a picture with you?'” she laughed.
