Kelly Dodd is opening up about her decision to divorce her husband of 11 years, Michael Dodd.

Following The Real Housewives of Orange County star's divorce announcement last month, Dodd invited Entertainment Tonight to her home in Corona Del Mar, California for a tour of the recently sold home, which was purchased for $6 million weeks ago.

“It was just, it was not working,” she said during an interview with Entertainment Tonight on October 5. “I guess everyone has a final straw, I just … it was like, just disagreements all the time.”

The Dodds put their home up for sale prior to her divorce announcement and plan to move out sometime this month.

“You'll see it [play] out on camera,” she teased of what led her to seek a divorce. “Just continue to watch [Real Housewives of Orange County] and you'll see how everything is good, and then just a hardcore left... That's probably what the course of my relationship is like with Michael. It's either good or really bad.”

“We're really good friends,” she continued. “He's my family. He's part of my family, and he always will be, you know? I always want him in my life. We always want to do things together with [our 10-year-old daughter], Jolie, and it was just, we just can't live together. That's it."

While divorce is never fun, Dodd is staying positive and noted that she's excited to embark on the next chapter of her life.

“[I’m excited for] just, you know, spending one-on-one time with my daughter,” she said. “Getting just really focused … focused on Kelly.”
