In a recent interview Paris Hilton talked about agreeing to appear in Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring, a film inspired by robberies of which the heiress was a victim of.

Hilton was one of the celebrities robbed by the infamous Bling Ring in 2008. Still, the 32-year-old agreed to star in a film based on those robberies, released in theaters Friday. She even allowed the director to film parts of the movie inside her home, where the felonies occurred.

Hilton told The Daily Beast in a June interview that she was cast in the movie by Coppola herself, who asked her to be in it while she attended the socialite's birthday party in 2012. Hilton told the website, "I love [Coppola] and think she's so talented. After speaking with her, I agreed to it."

Hilton's home was reportedly broken into six times and robbed of more than $2 million worth of jewelry, according to The Daily Beast. Despite being robbed several times, she never moved from that home.

"Even though it happened to me and it's scary, I just had to up the security in and around my house with cameras, laser beams, and the most high-tech system," she said.

The real-life Bling Ring burglars are all popular faces in the Los Angeles celebrity scene. They include Rachel Lee, Nick Prugo, Diana Tamayo, Courtney Ames and Alexis Neiers.

Neiers starred in her own reality TV show Pretty Wild, as reported by MTV. Hilton said during her interview that her brother Barron saw one of the male robbers at a nightclub and had him blacklisted from the venue.

She also had some words for the burglars.

"The fact that they tried to steal my dog, were laying in my bed, and chilling in my house while I was gone makes me sick," she said. "They better never see me."

The robbers, which consisted of a group of young friends, also burglarized Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson, Audrina Patrdige, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green.

The Bling Ring stars Harry Potter's Emma Watson and hits U.S. theaters on June 14.
