After releasing the second official trailer last month, Disney/Lucasfilm just released a new teaser for one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and it features Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) revisiting the cockpit of the Millenium Falcon.

The 45-second teaser dropped during Fox's airing of the World Series game 7 between the Dodgers and Astros on Wednesday, Nov. 1, and shows an external shot of the spaceship before Hamill's character steps into the cockpit of the Corellian freighter, which he once shared with Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew).

We're already aware that Hamill's old Jedi master was going to play a significant role in the upcoming sequel, given his silent cameo in The Force Awakens. The Last Jedi picks up immediately after the 2015 film, which ended with warrior Rey (Daisy Ridley) facing the long-lost Jedi before he gestures her to hand over his old lightsaber.

After Han's death, it's great to see Luke back on the Falcon. The scene brings back memories from 40 years ago when he first set foot on the spaceship. It was the first time fans got to see the character back inside Han's famous smuggling starship since 1980's The Empire Strikes Back.

The teaser trailer also includes shots of Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) and a battle between Finn (John Boyega) and Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie). Carrie Fisher also makes an appearance in the teaser as Princess Leia Organa but she's likely to be killed off in the film following her death last year.

The spot ends with a scene showing Luke laid out on the ground and a visibly angry Rey standing over him as he mutters the words, "This is not going to go the way you think," before she turns on her lightsaber and prepares to strike.

Last month, fans were treated to the upcoming film's much-awaited second trailer, which appeared to show Rey teaming up with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), son of Princess Leia and Han Solo.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is directed by Rian Johnson, is the eight installment of the hit franchise and stars Oscar Isaac as Rebel pilot Poe, Lupita Nyong'o as MazKanata; Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, along with newcomers Bille Lourd, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern, and Benicio Del Toro.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017. Check out the trailer below:
