Kate uptown turned 21 this week and to celebrate with men across the world, GQ magazine released pictures of the then fresh-faced supermodel from one of her earlier castings with the men's magazine in 2011.

GQ's bookings director Richard Blandino reminisced about meeting the blond vixen and being charmed not just by her looks, but also her personality.

"She's drop-dead gorgeous, with her bombshell curves, but the obvious aside, it's Kate's sense of humor and contagious laugh that did me in," he said. "She may be the world's hottest supermodel, but above all, Kate is just fun to be around."

Kate was featured in a spread with actor Ken Jeung and would go on to grace the cover of GQ as well as countless other magazines, including Esquire, Cosmopolitan and Vogue.

Upton allegedly spent her birthday with her new boyfriend Dancing With The Stars cast member Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The two were reported to have shared a romantic dinner in New York City on Monday. A source told Us Weekly that the couple was introduced to each other through friends and the relationship is very new.

Upton and Chmerkovskiy are rumored to have held hands under a table, while dining together at upmarket Italian restaurant Scalinatella in Manhattan's Upper East Side.

"They were very canoodly," the source said. "It was a very intimate meal."

Upton had another engagement of a different kind, which was confirmed to the public. Congressman Kevin McCarthy tweeted a photo of the swimsuit model with her uncle Congressman Fred Upton of Michigan (Kate's home state).

Kate is currently filming the The Other Woman in the Hamptons with costars Cameron Diaz and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Days after her birthday, the paparazzi snapped photos of her on the set doing what she does best-strutting along the beach in a skimpy bikini.
