Wendy Williams Show Today: Host Says 'I'm Going Through Menopause' When Recounting Fall

Daytime talk show host Wendy Williams has offered another explanation as to why she fainted on live television last Tuesday. She has admitted her body is going through multiple changes.

Williams sat down with ABC reporter Amy Robach and provided more details to her fall, and what could have truly caused it.

“I was scared to death,” she admitted. “I got hot. I was dehydrated according to the paramedics.”

Still, while this statement was familiar to how Williams explained the incident before, she added something new to the conversation just moments later as she continued to recount her moment that aired on live television.

“I’m also going through menopause,” she confessed.

Williams couldn’t deny that she was proud of how she actually hit the ground.

She said a “pretty” fall was her main concern, “cause this will never happen again, and go down the crown. For people watching, when they saw me, you know, put my head, my hand up, it’s cause I’m trying to make sure my crown is there. It was a beautiful fall. Unfortunately, we went to commercial… so nobody saw it.”

While she’s able to joke about the moment she managed to turn into a graceful one now, she also said that she was freaked out because she did not want to damage her skull from falling too hard. What made matters even more interesting is her staff thought she was pulling a prank. So they hesitated before they jumped in front of the camera to assist her. Williams pointed out that’s when “chaos ensued.”

“More people were concerned about me than I actually thought they would be,” she added. “That’s why I got up off the floor and came out here and closed the show. You’re only as good as your last performance.”

Williams said on her talk show that she was 48 minutes into taping when she fell just after she announced the Halloween costume contest. She also has pointed out that she was determined to get through the final 12 minutes before she collapsed. Her producer, Suzanne, also said the moment was scary for her to witness Williams in a state unlike any other that she had seen before.

Williams was dressed in a full-body costume as she hailed as Lady Liberty for Halloween. She has also attributed the hot ensemble for being overheated as well. Be sure to keep up with Enstarz for the latest.
