Adam Levine and his wife, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, are expecting their second child. During Tuesday's new episode of The Ellen Show, the Maroon 5 singer revealed the child's gender.

Months after Prinsloo announced the news to her fans and followers on Instagram with a baby bump photo and a caption that read, "Round 2," Levine confirmed that he and the model are expecting their second daughter sometime early next year.

“It is a girl. We are having another girl,” Levine told host Ellen Degeneres, according to a report shared by Us Weekly magazine on Nov. 7.

Levine has been vocal about wanting an extremely large family in the past and during his interview with Degeneres, he said that he wanted "a lot." In fact, he said that he thrives in chaos and generally enjoys and loves being in hectic situations. As for his wife of three years, Prinsloo grew up as an only child.

“[Behati] wants like 100 babies. But I don’t know if I could do that,” Levine noted.

Two years after tying the knot in Mexico, Levine and Prinsloo welcomed their first child, daughter Dusty Rose, now 13-months. This past September, as the child celebrated her first birthday, Prinsloo showcased her baby bump for the very first time.

“She’s awesome. She’s like a champion of the world. She’s killing it,” Levine said of his wife. “You would never know she’s almost seven months pregnant. God bless her.”

Just one month after getting married in Mexico, Levine spoke to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS morning show, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, and during their chat, he joked about his plans to start a family with Prinsloo.

"I want to have 100 kids. I want to have more kids than would be socially responsible," he joked, according to a report by Us Weekly magazine at the time. "I don’t know when we’re going to do it. We can’t do it right now. I think it’s absolutely in the works for some future date."

Adam Levine is currently starring in the 13th season of The Voice alongside Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson, and Miley Cyrus. New episodes of the show can be seen on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. on NBC.
