Bella Hadid and The Weeknd broke up around this time last year and according to a new report, the Starboy singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, is hoping to soon win her back.

Just weeks after splitting from Selena Gomez after 10 months of dating, The Weeknd is reportedly contacting Hadid in hopes of a reunion. However, as fans may have heard, the model is currently believed to be dating his fellow musician and former friend Drake.

“Bella is getting nonstop text messages and calls from The Weeknd," a source told LifeandStyle magazine on Nov. 8. “He wants her back.”

Despite his efforts, Hadid has allegedly been ignoring the singer because she's completely happy with rumored new beau Drake, who threw her a party in New York City last month in honor of her 21st birthday.

“Abel is devastated that Bella is dating his former friend," the insider said.

As the source explained, The Weeknd reportedly began missing his former girlfriend, Hadid, prior to his split from Gomez. Then, afterwards, he began trying to touch base with her in hopes of continuing their past relationship, which ended in November of last year after about a year and a half of dating.

“Abel and Selena were arguing for months,” the insider explained. “Dating Bella was easy compared to his drama-filled relationship with Selena.”

The Weeknd and Gomez first stepped out together this past January in Los Angeles and made their red carpet debut at the 2017 Met Gala in New York City before attending a Harper's Bazaar event months later.

In addition to the alleged phone calls and text messages to Hadid, The Weeknd has reportedly been sending flowers to his former girlfriend. Still, his efforts appear to be in vain and according to the source, Hadid isn't "having any of it."

“But she is loving all the attention!” the insider added.

According to the LifeandStyle magazine report, Hadid and Drake have been secretly dating since June and after he threw her a surprise party last month, she reportedly fell for him even harder.

“She thought it was so romantic," the insider said. "It started out casual, but they’re definitely serious [now]."

Prior to being linked to Hadid, Drake was tied to Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, and even Hailey Baldwin, who has been friends with Hadid for the past several years.
