Will The Weeknd Write A New Song About Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber?

The Weeknd and Selena Gomez's breakup was confirmed last week after the "Bad Liar" singer was shockingly caught spending time with her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

Although it is unclear whether or not Bieber had an impact on The Weeknd's relationship with Gomez, they quickly ended their relationship after 10 months of dating and Gomez has been spending tons of time with Bieber ever since. So, could the potential betrayal have inspired the "Starboy" singer to write a diss track about his ex or her current flame?

“The Weeknd is already working on his next album,” an insider explained to Hollywood Life on Nov. 10. “He writes about his life, his highs and lows. He’s writing songs about his relationship with Selena, but he’s promised to keep it positive.”

The Weeknd and Gomez began their relationship at the start of this year and were first seen together at the Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica, California. From there, the now-ex-couple traveled to Italy for a romantic sightseeing vacation before visiting a number of other countries, including Amsterdam and Brazil.

Throughout their relationship, Gomez and The Weeknd appeared at a number of events together, including the 2017 Met Gala in New York City, and just last month, they appeared happy with one another when they visited a Halloween attraction at the Universal Studios theme park in Los Angeles. Then, just weeks later, Gomez reunited with Bieber and her relationship with The Weeknd was deemed over within days.

“Justin’s a different story,” the source continued of The Weeknd's songwriting plans. “Abel’s made no promises about him.”

As for how Gomez and Bieber's reunion has been going, an insider earlier this week said Bieber was doing whatever he could to prove his devotion and newfound maturity to his on-again, off-again girlfriend.

“Selena is blown away by Justin’s new integrity,” a source close to the couple told Hollywood Life. “Since they’ve reunited, Justin now keeps every promise he makes, and is doing everything he says he is going to do.”

“Justin has grown, matured and has really changed a lot in the last few years,” the source continued. “She is falling in love all over again with a new and improved Justin who calls when he says he is going to call, texts when he says he will and is doing everything right.”
