Kelly Dodd is parting ways with her husband, Michael Dodd, and luckily for the Real Housewives of Orange County star, her 11-year-old daughter, Jolie, has taken the news just fine.

During an interview with Bravo's The Daily Dish on Nov. 22, Dodd opened up about her daughter's reaction to the news of her breakup with Michael, explaining that the child is actually happy to see her parents going their separate ways.

"It feels different this time because my daughter's older and she can tell you exactly... You know, she's 11 and we got separated when she was five. So, now she's expressing, 'Hey, I want you guys to divorce.' She was like, 'I'm happier if you guys are apart.' That's huge," Dodd explained.

Dodd first confirmed her split from Michael in September.

"Our marriage is over, I'm out of there! We've have problems for years and I've had enough, I'm done with our marriage," told the Daily Mail.

According to Dodd, she and Michael are simply unable to get along. So, rather than continue to remain in a marriage that wasn't working, they decided to put an end to their relationship for good and focus on the health of her daughter.

"We aren't good together, maybe we'll better to each other when we are divorced and are friends. But right now we are both miserable and it's not good for either one of us, let alone our daughter," she said.

As Real Housewives of Orange County fans will recall, Dodd was brought to the show during its 11th season and returned to the series earlier this year for Season 12. 

Shannon Beador Ends 17-Year Marriage 

Also, during the 12th season of the Bravo TV reality show, Dodd's co-star, Shannon Beador, announced that her 17-year-marriage to husband David Beador had come to an end. Throughout Beador's last few years on the show, the ups and downs of her relationship have been chronicled including the drama that unfolded after David admitted to sleeping with another woman.
