Could The Weeknd and Bella Hadid be preparing to get back together just over a year after their breakup?

According to a new report, the former couple got back in touch with one another after The Weeknd's 10-month relationship with Selena Gomez came to an end.

The Weeknd and Bella Hadid “have been talking, texting, and FaceTiming each other pretty consistently,” a source told Us Weekly, according to a Dec. 7 report by Hollywood Life.

Although The Weeknd was caught making his way out of Hadid's apartment in New York City just days before she walked the runway in the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the insider said that a reunion isn't official quite yet.

They “aren’t back together officially by any means,” the source told the magazine.

According to the magazine's insider, Hadid really missed The Weeknd after they split, even though she was briefly linked to Drake. However, an exclusive relationship simply isn't in her plans -- at least at this point in time.

“She’s happy with where things are and he is, too. They are still totally in love,” the insider added.

Weeks ago, after 10 months of dating, The Weeknd parted ways with former girlfriend Selena Gomez and she quickly reconciled her past romance with Justin Bieber. As fans may have seen, Bieber's Mercedes Benz G-wagon was spotted at Gomez's Los Angeles home in late October and in mid-November, the couple was photographed sharing a number of kisses at an ice skating rink nearby.

While many suspected that Gomez left The Weeknd for Bieber, she claimed during an interview days ago that she and The Weeknd actually stayed friends after their split.

“The best part? It’s actually… you know what, though? Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between me and The Weeknd],” Gomez told Billboard magazine of the breakup. “I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me.”

Despite Gomez's statements, she and The Weeknd don't appear to be on good terms and after unfollowing one another last month, he deleted all photos of the two of them from his page.
