Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra spoke about welcoming another child into their family just months ago, but these days, their plans have been majorly sidelined.

Following the Teen Mom OG star's announcement of her suicidal thoughts and plans for rehab, a source claims the reality star and her husband were prepared to have a baby prior to her stint in treatment.

“It was something that they kind of felt, if it happens then it happens,” a source close to the couple told Radar Online on Dec. 5. “Catelynn was so scared because of her postpartum depression, but after they bought the new house Tyler really started pushing for a boy.”

Lowell and Baltierra welcomed their first child, daughter Carly, in 2009, but because they were not yet financially stable or established in their careers, they chose to give the child up for adoption. Then after buying a home and stabilizing their lives, they welcomed their second child, daughter Novalee Reign, in January 2015.

Although Lowell never agreed to get pregnant at any specific point, she and Baltierra discussed the possibility earlier this year. In the weeks leading up to her stint in rehab, Baltierra said that he would love to have a baby boy.

Now, as Radar Online explained, their plans for a third child are on the “back burner.”

“Their main focus is getting Catelynn better and making sure she’s okay on her new medication,” the source said. “Some medications make pregnancy really difficult and right now I think they’re both very scared about postpartum coming back.”

Lowell first announced her mental health struggles on Twitter on Nov. 17. Shortly thereafter, her husband shared tweets of his own, expressing his ongoing support for the longtime reality star. In the weeks that followed, Baltierra has continued to show his support for his wife and visited her on at least one occasion.

To see more of Catelynn Lowell, Tyler Baltierra, their families, and their co-stars including Farrah Abraham, Gary Shirley, Amber Portwood, Andrew Glennon, Maci Bookout, Ryan Edwards, and Taylor McKinney, tune in to new episodes of Teen Mom OG season 7 on Monday nights at 9 p.m. on MTV.

No word yet on whether or not Lowell's current stint in rehab will be featured on season 7 or a future season of the reality series.
