Beyoncé and Jay Z seem to be quite the solid couple right now, but word is the only reason they’re still together is because of their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Blue Ivy Carter Saves Her Parents' Marriage

Their marital woes have been front-page-worthy headlines after Beyoncé’s release of Lemonade in 2016 and Jay Z’s release of 4:44 earlier this year. While the two have often been seen as #relationshipgoals, it came out that they secretly battled with infidelity on Jay-Z’s end. While there was speculation of cheating after Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles attacked the rapper in an elevator back in 2014, it’s safe to say Lemonade and 4:44 confirmed rumors better than anyone else could.

When it came to why the two decided to stick it out, one insider told People it was all thanks to Blue Ivy, who will be 6 years old next month. The source stated that Beyoncé found it really hard to trust Jay-Z after he stepped out on their marriage so many times, but their child gave her enough strength to stay and stick things out for the long run. They said that “keeping [their] family together” was more vital to Beyoncé than walking away and living life as a single mother.

Even though they have an amazing way of keeping their life extremely private while only letting fans see what the couple wants them to see, the source continued and said that it took “years” for the two to get to the healthy and safe place they are in now when it comes to their marriage.

Jay-Z On Why He Stuck It Out

This possibly confirms Jay-Z’s statements about their marriage during a candid interview with The New York Times recently. He stated that he stayed in the union after their issues despite the temptation to end things. He revealed that divorce is usually a cause of one looking in their spouse’s eyes and seeing the hurt that they knew they were responsible for, and that pain is being too much for them to handle. Jay-Z said he decided to take another route, look at himself, and deal with his issues instead of walking away.

As for their albums, he said they were able to use their gifts as a therapeutic method to cope.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z tied the knot on April 4, 2008. They welcomed their oldest child, Blue Ivy Carter, on Jan. 7, 2012. Their twins Sir and Rumi Carter were born June 13, 2017. Be sure to keep up with Enstarz for the latest on your favorite celebrities.
