Apple has revealed the year's best apps, media, and music that its users purchased from iTunes and App Stores this year.

Drake, Sheeran, And Swift Top Music

Apple Music revealed that Drake's More Life was its top album of 2017. Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran also received good news that his song, "Shape of You," was Apple Music's most downloaded song of the year.

This news comes days after Spotify named the "Castle on the Hill" singer its most popular artist of the year. Despite Reputation being dropped on Nov. 10, 2017, Taylor Swift's latest studio album launched itself to the number three slot in Apple's most downloaded album of 2017. The tech giant factored numerous streams that Swift received from her sixth studio album on Apple Music.

'Moana' Sails Into Number 1 Film

While Moana star Auli'i Cravalho stole the show when she performed "How Far I'll Go" with Lin-Manuel Miranda at the 2017 Academy Awards, the film did not pick up either Best Animated Feature or Best Original Song. Thankfully, Apple users came to the rescue and made it as 2017 most downloaded movie. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Wonder Woman rounded out the top three.

'Game of Thrones' And New Series Make Impacts

TV fans love Westeros! HBO's Game of Thrones was the most downloaded show on iTunes this year. Fan favorite shows such as AMC's The Walking Dead and CBS's The Big Bang Theory rounded out the top three slots. Several new shows such as NBC's This is Us, HBO's Big Little Lies, and FX's The Americans also earned top marks as fans rapidly downloaded their new episodes from the iTunes Store.

The App Attack

Bitmoji fever blew the competition away as the free app took the top spot in the 2017 Top Apps Charts. Social media superstars Snapchat, YouTube, Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook, made the second through six spots on the list. Everyday essentials such as Google Maps, Netflix, Spotify, and Uber rounded out the Top 10.

Super Mario Run was crowned King of the 2017 games as it was the most downloaded game of the year. 8 Ball Pool, Snake VS Block, Ballz, and Word Cookies rounded out the top five games of 2017. The most downloaded games of the year also included Solitaire, Color Switch, Word Connect, Piano Tiles 2, and Candy Crush Saga.
