Award season continues as the Screen Actors Guild became the latest entertainment organization to announce their nominees for the 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Rules

The Screen Actors Guild's biggest winner in the film category was Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The Martin McDonagh directed film earned four nominations. Actress Frances McDormand was nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. Actors Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell will be competing for the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role. The last award was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Other Honorable Mentions In Film

New York Film Critics Favorite Lady Bird earned three nominations including Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for Saoirse Ronan, Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Laurie Metcalf, and the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

In addition to his work in Lady Bird, Los Angeles Film Critics Association's Best Actor winner Timothee Chalamet scored the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role nomination for his work in Call Me By Your Name. Critics' Choice Award nominated The Shape of Water's Sally Hawkins and Richard Jenkins earned Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, respectively.

Big Little Lies Scores Four

The popular HBO drama Big Little Lies topped the television side of the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Actresses Laura Dern, Nicole Kidman, and Reese Witherspoon were all nominated for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series. The ladies will be going up against Feud: Bette and Joan's leading ladies: Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon. Meanwhile, Alexander Skarsgard was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie for his work in the HBO drama. This news comes after Big Little Lies received six Golden Globe nominations.

Netflix Nets 19 Nominations

Netflix was the overall winner in the network category. The popular streaming service scored 19 nominations. Eight of their actresses from the network's most popular shows such as Orange is the New Black, GLOW, and Stranger Things received nominations for both Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.

Actress Kristen Bell will host the Screen Actors Guild Ceremony, which will air on Sunday, Jan. 21 on TNT and TBS.
