Miley Cyrus released a sound bite for her upcoming single Last Goodbye and reports have linked the song's lyrics to a possible reference regarding her relationship status with fiance Liam Hemsworth.

The 5-second track does not provide much except the following lyric: “I know you’re going to want me to come home for a last goodbye.” Hollywood Life questioned if the song was referencing her 2010 movie The Last Song, where she met Hemsworth as they starred together in the film.

Cyrus has been slowly revealing more and more information about her upcoming album, due to be released this year. She told Billboard that she is just trying to be herself, saying: "A lot of people wanted to try to make me the white Nicki Minaj. That's not what I'm trying to do. I love 'hood' music, but my talent is as a singer."

Going into adulthood, Cyrus said her new album is a reflection of who she is growing into as a woman, making it a milestone in her career. She told the magazine, "I want to start as a new artist. I consider my upcoming album my first, really."

She told On Air with Ryan Seacrest about the record's first single, We Can't Stop, that the song is a reflection of where she is in life now. During her June 3 radio interview, where she released the song on airways for the first time, Cyrus said the song is a way to address all the speculation about her life.

In We Can't Stop she sings lyrics "to my homegirls with the big butts/Shaking it like we at the strip club" and makes drug references such as "Everyone in line in the bathroom/Trying to get a line in the bathroom/We all so turned up here."
