The music and sports worlds received quite a shock when numerous reports found out life-changing news about Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova.

Surprise! It's Twins

The "Hero" singer-songwriter and the tennis superstar welcomed a set of healthy baby twins. Kournikova gave birth to the twins on Saturday, Dec. 16 at an unknown hospital in Miami.

The "Don't Turn Off the Lights" singer and Kournikova have named their twins Nicholas and Lucy. The twins' surprise arrival also put the numerous breakup rumors to rest that have plagued both Iglesias and Kournikova for years.

Preparing For The Family

Over the past few years, the first-time father has been working hard to prepare for his future family. Iglesias released a new studio album in 2014, Sex + Love, which featured numerous collaborations with Flo Rida, Sean Paul, and Kylie Minogue.

That same year, Iglesias also performed during Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The Latin pop performer joined forces with Ariana Grande, Miranda Lambert, and the Zac Brown Band to entertain the millions of New Yorkers who celebrated Independence Day.

Recently, Iglesias wrapped up his successful co-headlining tour with Pitbull. The duo has released numerous collaborations such as "I Like It," "I Like How It Feels," "Messin' Around," and "I'm A Freak," which took Twitter by storm when Iglesias first teased the music video. Also, Iglesias and Pitbull's tour sold more than 422,959 tickets and made over $40 million.

Other Celebrity Babies

Iglesias and Kournikova are not the only celebrity parents that welcomed new additions this year. R&B singer and fashionista Ciara welcomed their first biological child together, Sienna Princess Wilson.

Another celebrity parent that made headlines was Late Late Show host James Corden. Corden's wife gave birth to their daughter just hours before the Dec. 12 taping. Corden asked a longtime friend, singer-songwriter, Harry Styles to step with two hours of notice to host the Dec. 12 edition of the show.

Kournikova's fellow tennis superstar Serena Williams also gave birth to her first child, Alexis Olympia, with her husband Alexis Ohanian on Friday, Sept. 1.

Iglesias and Kournikova also joined Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z, George and Amal Clooney in the Celebrity Twins Club.  The Carters and Blue Ivy welcomed Rumi and Sir this past summer. Meanwhile, the Clooneys welcomed their twins, Ella and Alexander, with much fanfare from around the world.
