It looks like Nelly may not be a free man just yet. The rapper is being sued by the woman who claimed he raped her back in October of this year.

Nelly's Dilemma

The Dilemma rapper was arrested after the victim, Monique Greene, filed a police report against him. Greene alleges she met the rapper at the nightclub where she was employed at in Seattle, Washington. Greene states that the rapper was performing at the club and after the performance, she was invited back to his tour bus that was parked in the Walmart parking lot next to the club.

Greene alleges that the rapper began to masturbate while they were in his bedroom and had non-consensual sex with her, vaginally and anally. Green states that she was then thrown off the bus and that the rapper threw a $100 bill at her.

After making bail, the rapper-actor proclaimed his innocence on Twitter, denied Greene's story and was confident that the system would not fail him.

On Dec. 14, it was reported that case against the rapper had been dropped, due to Greene's unwillingness to testify against the rapper. Greene's attorney, Karen Koehler, asserted that Greene did not want to testify against the rapper because no one would believe her. Koehler also stated that Greene had received hate mail and threats since the rapper's arrest.

Even though the case has been dismissed, Greene isn't done with the Grillz rapper yet.

Greene Strikes Back

Greene filed a defamation suit against the rapper claiming that after he was arrested, the rapper and his team began a "smear" campaign against her. Greene states that the rapper accused her of wanting fame, notoriety, and money. Greene will also be suing for the sexual assault she alleges occurred.

Nelly's attorney, Scott Rosenblum, made an official today regarding the suit.

"It comes as no surprise that Ms. Greene filed a lawsuit against Nelly seeking money after we announced our intention to hold her accountable. We always believed her accusation was motivated by greed," Rosenblum stated. The attorney added that they will be counter-suing Greene.

The rapper's case follows the epidemic that is currently plaguing the entertainment industry. Actors Kevin Spacey, Dustin Hoffman, Danny Masterson, Ed Westwick and Louis C.K. have all be accused of sexual misconduct or abuse.
