Did Kendrick Lamar just reveal that he's going to be in Marvel's Black Panther soundtrack?

On Thursday night, Kendrick Lamar dropped a new emotional music video for his single "LOVE." The Dave Meyers-directed video depicts the triumphs and challenges of romantic relationships.

As usual, K. Dot always delivers but this time, he really got fans talking. They were quick to notice something really important in his new video.

Fans of the rapper were quick to notice a clapperboard reading, "B. Panther Soundtrack coming soon." The clapperboard is shown at 1:54 mark of the video right before Lamar returns to the frame.

Although Lamar has yet to confirm his involvement with the new Marvel film, it would be the perfect way to end what has been a stellar year for the recording artist.nThe Compton native has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards for his latest album, Damn.

However, his participation in Black Panther should not surprise those who attended Marvel's San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel earlier this year. Marvel released an exclusive clip that included a trailer set to Lamar's popular song, "DNA," which is also featured in his Grammy-nominated album.

Black Panther's connection to Lamar's work goes beyond his critical success. Both Coogler and actor Chadwick Boseman, who plays Black Panther in the highly anticipated film, said he felt a connection to Lamar's "DNA" single.

"DNA" is about rising and standing proudly in a repressive society while Black Panther examines how a kingdom could have progressed to greatness if it hadn't been conquered.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times in July, Coogler shared his respects for Lamar's artistry.

"The lyrics are amazing - a lot of Kendrick's are," Coogler said.

Will Kendrick Lamar Dominate The 2018 Grammy Awards?

Lamar may possibly dominate the Grammy Awards in 2018, but he is definitely no stranger to the awards. In 2015, the songwriter received two Grammy's for his song "I" that was featured on his To Pimp A Butterfly album, one for Best Rap Song and the other for Best Rap Performance.

At the 58th annual Grammy Awards, the recording artist also received the Album of the Year Award for his To Pimp A Butterfly album.

Lamar went on to pass Eminem as the most nominated rapper in a single night and became the most-nominated artist at the ceremony with five nominations.

The Black Panther movie is set to hit theatres Feb. 16, 2018.
