RIP Elliott DeGeneres

The Emmy-winning talk show host shared the sad news to her audience that her father, Elliott, passed away. DeGeneres revealed that her dad was 92-years-old and devout Christian Scientist. The Finding Dory voice actor also told her audience that her father always had unconditional love for her and was one of the show's biggest fans.

"He was a kind man and was an accepting man. There was no bone of judgment in his body," said the talk show host.

DeGeneres believed that she and her brother, Vance, got their sense of humor from him. She also revealed the deep connection that he felt with the Warner Bros. Studio Lot. The comedian explained that her family took the studio tour and remembered seeing her father in awe of being in the legendary Hollywood movie studio.

She also shared a powerful photo with her studio audience. The picture featured a rainbow over the iconic Burbank, California landmark; DeGeneres stated that her father died minutes after she took the photo.

Disaster And Divorce Rumor Survivor

Elliott DeGeneres' death could not come at a rotten time. DeGeneres, along with her wife Portia de Rossi, were among the countless of people that were affected by the Montecito natural disasters. It was reported that the couple were among some of the home owners whose homes were damaged by Montecito mudslides.

Months before the mudslides, DeGeneres and de Rossi were among the 88,000 people that were forced to evacuate their California home due to the Thomas Fire. DeGeneres and Rossi's relationship was also tested by the tabloids even after they had a vow renewal ceremony after malicious gossip spread about their relationship was over.

DeGeneres did not release a statement regarding any burial plans for her father.
