Selena Gomez Wants To Reconcile With Her Mom But Refuses To Split From Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's relationship has reportedly caused a major divide between the "Same Old Love" singer and her mother, Mandy Teefy.

As rumors continue to swirl around the drama between Gomez and Teefy, a new report claims the singer does want to reconcile with her mother -- but not at the expense of her relationship with Bieber. Instead, she hopes that Teefy would turn over a new leaf and give her on-again, off-again boyfriend another shot.

"Selena and her mom are still not talking as of right now, but it's getting to the point where Selena's calmed down, and she feels that enough time has passed to let bygones be bygones," an insider explained to Hollywood Life on Jan. 14.

Gomez and Bieber first got back together in Oct. 2017 when Gomez split from The Weeknd, who appeared to have a fan in Teefy. As fans may recall, Teefy and others were following The Weeknd throughout the couple's past romance and she even said she was "happy" to see them together at the 2017 Met Gala last May.

The Hollywood Life went on to say that Gomez and Teefy have been known to have blow-ups from time to time but always seem to resolve their issues after allowing one another some space. That said, Gomez is said to be ready to mend her relationship with her mom but is hoping to see Teefy reach out to her first.

Gomez is also hoping to see her mom open her mind and accept the fact the Bieber is going to be a part of her life.

"They fell out over Selena allowing Justin back into her life again, and as far as Selena is concerned, her relationship with Justin is not up for debate, so either her mom needs to accept it, or butt out," the source explained. "Selena made that crystal clear, and told Mandy in no uncertain terms that unless she can accept Justin, Selena has nothing to say to her-so the ball's firmly in Mandy's court."

Although Gomez is hopeful, Teefy recently spoke out about Gomez and her newly-reconciled relationship with Bieber -- and she did not hold back. In fact, Teefy recently confirmed to Gossip Cop that she is "not happy" about Gomez's latest reunion with the "Love Yourself" singer.
