Two bodies were found by employees at the Dreyfoos School in Florida on Wednesday, which has left the community and surrounding areas in shock.

According to the Christian Post, the two bodies were located at roughly 6:30 a.m. in a "maintenance or supply area of the school building" and weren't "found in a classroom."

Confirmation was given that one of them was a school custodian, stated Palm Beach County School District spokesman Jason Shockley.

An investigation is now underway, stated Capt. David Bernhardt, a West Palm Beach Police spokesman. However, he refused to confirm that the deaths were tied to a homicide.

"It's an open death investigation ... That way we're not limiting to ourselves and what type of investigation we are doing. It could turn out to be a homicide investigation later on, it could just be a normal death investigation," Bernhardt said.

Matthew Baquero, a Dreyfoos School of the Arts graduate, was surprised to hear what had occurred at his school.

"I can't believe this is happening at my school ... this is stuff that you only see in the news like somewhere in Connecticut or in another state but I can't imagine this happening at my school right now," he said.
