Javi Marroquin Reveals Details About Briana DeJesus Split
Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus are no longer dating. Sadly, after just months, the Teen Mom 2 couple has decided to go their separate ways.
In a new interview, Marroquin, who has been featured on the series since striking up a romance with his now-ex-wife Kailyn Lowry, has opened up about what exactly led him to end his relationship with the mother of two.
"We both do have kids and live two different lifestyles, [Briana] being in Florida and me in Delaware," Marroquin explained to Radar Online on Jan. 16. "I didn’t agree with some of her future plans being exposed for the world to see for our future and any future employers."
As for what those future plans were, DeJesus's upcoming surgery (a breast lift, liposuction, and a tummy tuck), which she spoke to Blasting News about earlier today, has been rumored to have caused a divide between them. As Teen Mom 2 fans may recall, Marroquin's ex-wife had a series of similar surgeries in January 2016, and months later, she confirmed that their marriage had come to an end.
Although DeJesus told Blasting News that her now-ex-boyfriend didn't want her to get the surgery, Marroquin told Radar Online that the surgery itself "wasn't the issue." He went on to say that while things between himself and DeJesus didn't pan out as he expected, he still thinks his co-star is an amazing person and praised her for having a big heart and being completely selfless.
"She’s got a bright future and she’ll make any guy feel special,” he explained.
Marroquin and DeJesus confirmed their romance in October 2017 and traveled together frequently during their months-long romance. As some likely saw, Marroquin and DeJesus have been seen together in Los Angeles, New York, and Florida in recent months. They also spent time as a family with their children, including DeJesus's daughters, 5-year-old Nova and 6-month-old Stella.
Marroquin shares son, Lincoln, 4, with ex-wife, Kailyn Lowry.
While Lowry and Marroquin have had their moments of civil co-parenting, things between them didn't seem to be going well for the entirety of his romance with DeJesus.
Javi Marroquin, Briana DeJesus, and their co-stars, including Jenelle Evans, David Eason, Kailyn Lowry, Jo Rivera, Jeremy Calvert, Corey Simms, Leah Messer, Cole DeBoer, and Chelsea Houska, are currently in the midst of production on the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2.
