Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave appears to be fitting in with the women of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills quite nicely.

Just weeks into her new role as a full-time cast member of the long-running Bravo TV reality series, Mellencamp Arroyave is speaking out about joining the show, revealing not everything is sunshine and roses.

“There's highs and lows,” Mellencamp Arroyave explained to Entertainment Tonight on Jan. 16. “But isn't that life? I'm learning a lot about myself. I get very in my head ... it plays out on camera."

Although Mellencamp has learned not to mouth-off without thinking things through first (she's an accountability coach), that doesn't mean she doesn't have strong opinions about things that have been said or done. In fact, her thoughts can often be seen on her face, which she was surprised to see while watching the show.

Continuing on the outlet, Mellencamp Arroyave, the daughter of rock star John Mellencamp, said that viewers will soon see plenty of shifts within the relationships of the show. As she explained, she was uneasy about joining the group at first and took her time getting to know each woman individually while also processing their behaviors.

As for who she's gotten to know the best, Mellencamp Arroyave has been spending plenty of time with Kyle Richards both on and off screen and said she gets along quite well with Lisa Rinna. She also said that she and Rinna have a great banter between them and mentioned that Rinna is down to earth.

Although Mellencamp Arroyave is sure to experience challenges as she continues on with her co-stars and their often strong personalities, she said she's always learning about the ladies and having a ton of fun getting to know them.

“There's such a big dynamic of strong women in this group that no matter what, whether you like it or not, you're learning something from somebody,” she said. “I hadn't watched the show prior to joining the group … I really had no idea what to expect. I went in with zero expectations."

To see more of Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and her co-stars, including Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Lisa Vanderpump, Dorit Kemsley, and Erika Girardi, tune in to new episodes of the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Monday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
