Mila Kunis and Russell Brand almost dated, the British comedian revealed in an interview with The Sun published on Thursday.

Brand went after Kunis on the set of their 2008 comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but Kunis rejected his advances. As for why she did it, the actress was dating former child star Macauley Culkin at the time.

"I was chatting her up," Brand revealed, "and got the conversation around to, 'Have you got a boyfriend?' and she went, 'Yeah.' "

Kunis and Culkin started dating in 2002 but split in 2011.

"So you know that feeling of 'How long do I have to maintain an interest in this conversation now?' " Brand asked, "It's 12 seconds. She's talking about her boyfriend 'Mac.' Eventually, she said 'My boyfriend's coming tomorrow.' She was excited - and when he came it was not 'Mac,' it was Macaulay Culkin!"

Brand was not pleased by Kunis' choice in men, calling Culkin "a veal calf, like he'd been grown in a crate."

The comedian didn't stop there: "All pale and scared of himself, like a shaved horse. There was a horror about him! Macaulay Culkin! The little lad out of Home Alone! She's f---ing him!"

Implying that Kunis and Culkin were mismatched, Brand said of the former, "She's gorgeous. She's so gorgeous."

Kunis was announced as "Sexiest Woman in the World" by British men's magazine FHM in early May. Since splitting with Culkin in 2011, Kunis has been dating former That '70s Show co-star Ashton Kutcher. The pair has been living in Europe while Kunis films her new movie Jupiter Ascending.

The comedian's former wife, Katy Perry, told Vogue this month that Brand told her he wants a divorce via text message. She also said that she hasn't heard from him since the divorce proceedings.
