Christina Aguilera has just given her fans something to be excited about. The "Your Body" singer-songwriter revealed the release of an upcoming studio album.

An Instagram Story

On Jan. 22, Aguilera posted an Instagram story to her 4.5 million fans.

The story featured the "Genie in a Bottle" singer's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. If fans looked carefully at the landmark, they would find a small note that a devoted fan left the Voice coach.

The message read: "Dear, Christina Aguilera. Where the F--- Is The New Album?" Aguilera replied that it was coming, and she included six emojis in the message.

Hints About the New Album

Slowly but surely, Aguilera has been leaving a breadcrumb trail for fans to follow the last year.

She posted an Instagram post on Nov. 6, 2017, with the caption: "Family slays together stays together." The photo received over 72,000 likes.

The Instagram post showed potential collaborators including Janelle Monae, Anderson.Pak, and Lianne La Havas. Also, Aguilera mentioned that she had written a song with her longtime collaborator Linda Perry.

The P!nk Factor

One potential factor that fans might not expect is a collaboration between Aguilera and one of her former rivals. In an interview, P!nk revealed that she has recorded a duet with her "Lady Marmalade" collaborator.

"We did a duet for her album, and I don't know when it's coming out, but it's amazing. We did it two years ago, so I don't remember the title, but she's incredible," P!nk told The Sun.

As of this story's publication, Aguilera has not commented if she recorded a song with the "What About Us" singer.

Aguilera's Best Moments

Over the past few years, Aguilera has provided audiences with memorable moments.

On Nov. 19, 2017, Aguilera paid homage to one of her heroes, the late Whitney Houston, at the 2017 American Music Awards. She performed a medley of songs from Houston's classic film, The Bodyguard.

Aguilera also served as a coach for NBC's singing competition, The Voice. She was a coach for the show's first, fifth, eighth, and tenth seasons. During her time on the show, Aguilera mentored artists such as Frenchie Davis, Chris Mann, Jacquie Lee, Matthew Schuler, Kimberly Nichole, and Alisan Porter. On Aguilera's last season as a coach, she became the series's first female coach to win.

She also recorded duets with artists such as A Great Big World, Lady Gaga, Nile Rodgers, and Tony Bennett.

The "A Voice Within" singer has not revealed when her new album will drop.
