Ariana Madix And Tom Sandoval's Fight Explained: Why Was The 'Pump Rules' Couple At Odds?

Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval were butting heads with each other during last week's episode of Vanderpump Rules due to Jax Taylor's shocking behavior against his girlfriend.

As fans will recall from last week's show, Madix and Sandoval were seen screaming at each other after Sandoval seemingly defended his friend and slammed Madix for allowing Brittany Cartwright to hear a shocking audio tape of her boyfriend. However, according to a new interview, their feud wasn't due to Sandoval's defense of Taylor. Instead, they were arguing over the time of the leaked audio tape.

"That's the biggest misconception," Sandoval explained, according to a report by E! News on Jan. 22. "If anything I was more on Brittany's side, it's just that Brittany was so drunk that the last thing I wanted her to do is hear something that traumatic in that state of mind."

"I was in no way, shape or form on Jax's side," he added.

Madix and Sandoval's feud was intense, but after they were able to sit down and better understand each other's viewpoints, they got to a better place. Now, as the drama of Vanderpump Rules season 6 continues, so does their romance. That said, fans shouldn't expect to see the couple walk down the aisle anytime soon. After all, Madix has no interest in tying the knot with Sandoval or anyone else, and when it comes to children, she doesn't want any.

During an interview with LA Confidential in December of last year, Sandoval spoke about the pressure marriage puts on couples.

"The labels will add a lot of pressure because you start using phrases such as 'until death do us part,' or 'forever,' 'until the end of time,' 'as long as I live,' and it’s a grim way of looking at a relationship," Sandoval explained.

Although Sandoval said last month that he wasn't on board with a marriage, he spoke much differently about the concept just one year prior. As fans may recall, Sandoval brought up the idea of marriage to Madix after watching his friends Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz walk down the aisle in August 2016.
