It's her wedding and she'll do things her way! Meghan Markle has definitely not shied away from expressing her opinion on what she would like at her wedding.

It looks like the bride-to-be will actually be using her voice at her wedding reception.

According to the Sunday Times, the former Suits actress will reportedly give an "affectionate tribute" to Harry, their family and friends, and Queen Elizabeth, who is hosting the gathering at the Windsor Castle. The publication also revealed that Markle might even crack a few jokes during her speech.

"She wants to have the chance to thank her husband and everyone who has supported them," a source told The Times.

The source also added that Harry thinks it's a great idea.

If Markle gives her speech, this will be another royal wedding first. However, it won't be the first time that the soon-to-be princess speaks in front of a crowd.

While her wedding reception will be filled with royal attendees, this will be a much smaller stage than what she is used to be on. Markle had given a powerful speech at the U.N. Women's Conference in 2015 as an advocate for the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. She also graced television screens for seven seasons by starring in the USA show, Suits.

Markle Makes Her Own Rules

Traditionally, the bride's father gives a toast at the wedding, but due to Harry's comments during an interview in December 2017, it is unclear how Markle's father will be involved on the big day.

As previously reported, Markle's father Thomas was extremely happy for the soon-to-be royal couple and was looking forward to celebrating them in May. That was until Prince Harry made some remarks that his future father-in-law wasn't too happy with.

In an interview, Harry stated that his family was the family that Markle never had. Immediately following the video, Markle's estranged sister, Samantha Grant, fired back at the Prince's comments, saying that her sister has always had a family.

Markle's father never made an actual statement in response to the interview, Markle's half-brother, Thomas Jr., stated that their father was deeply hurt by Harry's remarks.

Although Markle's father might not do any of the talking, the world had been wondering whether or not he would walk her down the aisle.

However, Samantha Grant took to Twitter to end those rumors.

"Much about Doria walking Meg down the aisle is NOT true. Our father will walk her down the aisle," Grant tweeted.

Although both Markle and Harry are being mindful of traditions, it seems as though the day of the wedding will have a few unconventional surprises.
