Before Charlie Sheen fired Selma Blair on the set of Anger Management, it seems that he may have had feelings the show's leading lady.

Sheen allegedly grew very close to Blair, which was what led to him to cast her on Anger Management, according to a new report from RadarOnline on Friday.

"He loved her in the movie Cruel Intentions and eventually got introduced to her," a source close to the actors told Radar. "They grew very close. When it came time to cast for his new show, he wanted her. The source added that it was "lust at the very least" on Sheen's part.

"As the show began Sheen was still highly attracted to Selma," they added. "Call it flirtatious or whatever you want, but his feelings were obvious. He thought there was chemistry." Blair played Sheen's therapist on the show but the characters were also friends with benefits.

Blair's complaints about Sheen were apparently common among the cast. "Charlie has reverted to his usual behavior on the Anger Management set," said the source. "He is late -- sometimes he is hours late. The whole cast is bothered by it, but he's the star and its his show. Everyone on the show was ticked off at his behavior but no one complained to the producers because they knew he would fire them."

Though reports had been claiming that Blair was complaining about Sheen on set, the source said that she was actually talking to a close friend about it. Eventually, that friend told someone connected to Sheen and he soon got wind of her complaints.

The source confirmed that nothing has changed since his troubled days on the set of Two and a Half Men, saying he's almost always late for work due to partying.

"With Selma he went from loving her to hating her," the source concluded, "And once he turns, that's it. She was done."
