After Nicole Eggert hit Scott Baio with a stunning come-back to his Good Morning America interview, the actor had to fight back tears. Baio spoke with TMZ about the latest comment from Eggert that ultimately caused him to stop the interview.

The War of Words Continues

Eggert may have hit a new low when TMZ caught up with the actress on Friday, Feb. 2, and was asked about Baio's latest comments. The actress maintained her story and stated that Baio should "come clean for his daughter's sake." During his interview with TMZ live, the actor was overcome with sorrow after hearing the actress's remarks.

Baio felt so distraught and tried his best to hold back the tears, that eventually he abruptly ended the interview.

The harsh exchange of words began when Eggert accused the actor of sexually molesting and assaulting her during the production of the show Charles in Charge. Eggert made the allegation on her Twitter page after responding to another user's tweet that questioned Baio's loyalty to President Donald Trump. Eggert continued to elaborate on the alleged abuse by posting more tweets.

The Baywatch star appeared on Megyn Kelly Today where she stated that the abuse began when she was 14. The actress claimed Baio began molesting her after the two were in his car and he "fingered" her.

Baio then went on Good Morning America to defend himself and slam Eggert's claims. Baio stated that it would've been impossible for him to even act inappropriately towards Eggert since the set for Charles in Charge had many parents and chaperones around.

Baio continued that he wanted to spare his daughter from any bullying she could possibly receive because of these allegations, which led to Eggert's comments. Baio and Eggert did date briefly after the show ended.

Baio wife's, Renee Baio, recently spoke out about the allegations and is standing by her husband.

"She's disgusted. Scott has always been there for Renee, and she knows him inside and out -- he's an amazing husband and father, he's a good Christian, and she has no doubt at all that Scott is innocent," a source stated.

Baio challenged Eggert to take her claims to the authorities, which Eggert is planning to do.
