Kevin Hart made fans forget all about Lil Mama’s 2009 MTV Video Music Awards stint after his embarrassing moment at the Super Bowl Sunday night.

The Philadelphia native spoke out about his actions on social media after the internet ruthlessly came for him.

Kevin Blames It On The Alcohol

Hart got extremely excited after his home team, the Philadelphia Eagles, edged out the win against the New England Patriots during the big game on Sunday. Hart celebrated with the Eagles by trying to get on stage with them.

Apparently, security guards didn’t care about the status of the multi-million-dollar actor’s celebrity status because they blocked him with a quickness. It didn’t take long before the moment goes viral on social media.

Hart took to Instagram to clear up his actions and blamed it on the alcohol.

“To all the kids out there, I just wanna say don’t drink,” said Hart. “When alcohol is in your system, you do dumb stuff. Me trying to go on stage with the trophy (is) definitely in the top two stupidest things I’ve ever done but who cares? The Eagles won the Super Bowl.”

It might be safe to say the other thing in the top two that he’s done is cheat on his wife, Eniko Parrish, while she was pregnant. Interestingly enough, fans might remember he also took to Instagram to speak on that as well.

Kevin Hart Gets Dismissed

Hart, who made it clear he was still under the influence in the clip, said his wife tried to warn him not to make an attempt to get on stage. He refused to listen and told her to “chill out.”

In true Hart fashion, he joked about the security guard and commended him for doing his job. He said the security guard did recognize who he was before he told him he couldn’t go on stage. Hart didn’t listen to him either. He then showed more love for the Eagles before ending the video.

Hart isn’t the first celebrity to get embarrassed after going way too hard for their city. Fans do not forget Lil Mama’s moment during the MTV Video Music Awards back in 2009.

She suddenly appeared on stage after Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed their hit, Empire State of Mind, a shout out to the city of New York. Lil Mama was feeling the tribute so much that by the end of the performance, she made her way to the stage and posed with Jay-Z and Keys as if she was on the song herself.
