Christie Brinkley Claims 'Smarmy' Donald Trump Hit On Her Even While He Was Married To Ivana

Christie Brinkley revealed that Donald Trump tried to woo her with a ride on his private jet back in the '80s.

The Call

Brinkley got candid about how Trump tried to woo her and failed in an interview with Porter magazine. She recalled that the incident happened back in the 1980s when Trump was married to Ivana and she was dating musician Billy Joel.

Brinkley revealed that one day she received a call from Trump. At first, she mistook the caller as Billy so she answered the phone with "Hi, Billy." However, the voice on the other line corrected her and said it's "The Donald."

Somehow, Trump learned that Brinkley also planned to go to Aspen, Colorado just as he was. He decided to phone her and offer a ride on his private jet. Of course, the model declined politely because she knew about Trump's reputation with women.

"So I reply, 'Thank you, but I have already arranged my flights.' I knew he was married, and there he was asking me to go on his plane. He was kind of flirty about it. He was out chasing skirts," Brinkley recalled.

'Smarmy' Trump

The model also revealed that she had crossed paths with Trump several times and always found him "smarmy." She mentioned having gone out to dinner with him.

"I've always found him smarmy, as in, 'Watch out, part the waves, the rich people are coming, everything is gold, solid 24-carat gold, the best, the greatest, nobody else has more gold on anything in their house than me. Did you bring a brush? Let's gold-leaf it!" Brinkley added.

Trump's preference in dating models is old news. His married life revolved around models. His wife of 15 years, Ivana, was a model when she met and eventually married the businessman in the 1970s. Their marriage ended following his publicized affair with model Marla Maples, whom he met in Aspen. Maples became Mrs. Trump for a brief time in the 1990s. Following his divorce from Maples, Trump wooed another model, Melania, who is now the first lady of the United States.

Brinkley is just one of the numerous women who claimed that Trump tried to make a pass at them before he became the president of the United States. Former model Brooke Shields and actress Salma Hayek claimed that they were in a relationship when Trump tried to impress and woo them.

Trump has yet to comment on Brinkley's claims.
