Miami Heat player Dwayne Wade had more than his third NBA championship win to celebrate on Thursday- his girlfriend, Gabrielle Union, who reportedly said yes when he proposed to her.

Media Takeout reported on Friday that a source overheard Wade, 31, proposed to Union, 40, in front of several Miami heat teammates and close friends in the VIP section at Story nightclub in South Beach Miami Thursday night after their NBA Finals' game 7 win against San Antonio Spurs.

The source admitted they did not witness the proposal but the news of Wade getting down on bended knee and asking Union for her hand in marriage dominated the night's chatter. Wade and Union have been dating for four years.

VibeVixen reported that Wade and Union celebrated his third NBA Finals win at Story with his best friend and team captain LeBron James, his fiance' Savannah Brinson, Union's best friend Sanaa Lathan, Wade's teammate Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne Bosh, Young Money rapper Drake and more.

Wade was asked by Oprah Winfrey during an interview on Oprah's Next Chapter why he is in love with Union, and he said because the actress "makes my eyes sparkle." 

He also said in the interview that aired last July that he loves the way Union is with his tow sons, Zaire, 11, and Zion, 6, who he now has custody of. He bore the children with his ex-wife and high school sweetheart Siohvaugn Funches.

"She makes my eyes sparkle when Zaire comes home and homework is a little hard that day, so he's stressing. And she goes to the table with him, and she sits down until he gets it," Wade said of Union. "And at that time my heart is smiling a little bigger that day because I know her love is deeper than just me."

In March 2011, Wade was awarded custody of his two sons after a three-year court battle with Funches.
