Selena Gomez's mom may have recently said that she wasn't happy to see her daughter back with Justin Bieber but she may be ready to move past the issue.

Following weeks of reported estrangement, Mandy Teefy seemingly offered an olive branch to her daughter by gushing over her work on her successful Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why, on Instagram.

“The ladies that could!" Teefy wrote of Gomez and the show's lead actress, Katherine Langford. "One from Grand Prairie, One from Perth! Both discovered from worldwide searches for roles that changed their path to have powerful positive influences on the future. Amazing to witness this from Day 1!!! Congrats.”

Gomez's mom spoke to Gossip Cop earlier this year and told the outlet that while her daughter was a grown woman and able to make her own decisions, she wasn't thrilled about her recent reunion with Bieber. She also admitted to a number of disputes with her daughter but didn't go into detail about their issues.

Gomez parted ways with The Weeknd after about 10 months of dating in October of last year and quickly reunited with Bieber in Los Angeles. Since then, the rekindled couple have been spotted together frequently all around Los Angeles and also enjoyed recent trips to Seattle, Wash. and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where they rang in the new year.

Following his New Year's trip to Mexico, Bieber traveled to Utah for a guys ski trip before treating his mom, Pattie Mallette, to a fun trip to the Maldives.

A short time after Bieber and Mallette were seen the Maldives, where they shared a number of photos, a source spoke to Hollywood Life, stating that Bieber hoped his family vacation would serve as a demonstration of just how important family is to him.

As the source explained, Bieber was hopeful that Gomez and her mother would see him and his mother enjoying their vacation and realize that their silly feud wasn't worth the time they are losing.

“He feels terrible for Selena that her mother won’t accept him, and sympathizes with her and what she’s dealing with," the source said.

The Hollywood Life report also said that Bieber hoped Teefy would see how close he's become with his mother, despite their past issues, and realize that he has truly matured and changed for the better.
