The attention surrounding Catt Sadler’s exit from E! has calmed down since she announced her move recently. Now, the former television host could be taking legal action against the major network.

Catt Sadler Won't Back Down

Sadler’s resignation from E! News was pretty shocking, but what was even more shocking was her statement. She made it clear she left because her now-former cohost Jason Kennedy was making nearly double.

She spoke about it even more on SiriusXM’s Conversations with Maria Menounos Thursday.

“I had been there for more than a decade,” explained Sadler. “I was an ideal employee, and by the way I think pretty good at my job, to then find out that I was, and again this isn’t just a little less for me, it was wife, it just was insulting, I guess.”

Menounos, who has her own history with the network, and Sadler went on to open up about the president of NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. They were saying that Kennedy made more because he had different responsibilities.

She countered this statement and said she was a “fixture” on the show. She said president Frances Berwick’s argument didn’t fly with her because she strongly doubted that was the case and believed viewers felt the same.

Could This Go To Court?

She then suggested that Berwick used the, as Sadler described it, “excuse,” because it was illegal for the network to treat Sadler that way.

“By the way, there is something called equality – the pay act…it is unlawful to discriminate, it is sexual discrimination, so you better believe that people are going to say on the record what protects them in a certain, particular stance.

When Menounos asked if Sadler was indeed going to sue, Sadler only said "Not today."

She then kept quiet when Menounos asked if a lawsuit would come up in the future.

It's Not About Jason Kennedy

She went on to clear the air and said that she has nothing against her former cohost, Kennedy. She said she strongly believes he tried to get her equal pay and has defended him and the controversial salary that he has received.

“That’s why, proactively, I made such a point saying, ‘This isn’t about him.’ By the way he has his own family and by the way he deserves every dime he’s making –without question! This isn’t that he didn’t deserve that much, it’s that I deserved as much,” Sadler explained.
