Ginger Renee Colonomos, known by her stage name Ginger Zee, is now a proud mother of two. The TV personality announced the birth of her baby on social media.

Baby's Birth

Ginger Zee welcomed another son with her husband, Ben Aaron, 36, on Friday. Her firstborn, Adrian Benjamin, was there to welcome his baby brother. The chief meteorologist for Good Morning America shared a photo of her two-year-old son dressed in scrubs with the words "Big Brother" embroidered on the front.

"Scrubbed in, delivered a healthy baby boy and got a cookie to celebrate. It's been a good day," Ginger Zee wrote on Twitter. The 37-year-old news correspondent delivered her baby via C-section.

Ahead of her scheduled caesarean operation, Ginger Zee walked the runway for the American Heart Association's annual Go Red for Women's Red Dress Collection fashion show. She appeared at the event wearing a long red flowy dress and impressively strutted down the runway in heels. Backstage, she told US magazine that she opted to wear heels to make her feel better because her ankles were swollen. Likewise, a day before giving birth, she had her final taping with the ABC morning show before going on maternity leave. Ginger Zee even scored a photo with Beverly Hills 90210 alum Jason Priestly.

Interestingly, Ginger Zee already knew what her second son would be like. In the same backstage interview with US Magazine, she said that he would be the "ruffian" in the family.

"I would say this baby is so much more active. My first one is just like he is now as a 2-year-old. He's gentle, he's sweet. This is going to be my ruffian. This is going to be the one that's pushing everybody around. It's very adventurous," she said.

Baby Announcement

Ginger Zee revealed she and Aaron were expecting another son during the weather forecast on Good Morning America. She decided to reveal the big news because her belly was already showing. She was already four months pregnant at the time.

The Chasing Helicity author has been documenting her pregnancy on her Instagram. She credits her husband for the love and care throughout the nine months.

"@benaarontv is an awesome Dad and has been my rock through this pregnancy. The foot and ankle rubs alone make you my hero Bean," Ginger Zee wrote in January.
