Prince William and his brother Prince Harry attended the wedding of their old friend Thomas van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy, the daughter of the Duke of Northumberland, Ralph Percy on Saturday.

The lavish ceremony took place at St. Michael's Church in Alnwick, norther England. The bride looked stunning in a white Bruce Oldfield gown embelished with lace. She arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and one of her bridemaids was Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy who wore a gorgeous light brown floor-length gown.

According to Us Magazine there seemed not to be tension between Harry and Davy who dated for five years and reportedly broke up in December 2011.

Prince William's sister in law Pippa Middleton also caught the attention of photographers looking stunning in a white and black dress. Us Magazine reports that she was wearing a Tabitha Webb dress.

Her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton who is pregnant with Prince William's first child, was not attending the wedding. As her due date approaches, St. James Palace released official details about the birthing plans of royal couple.

"The Duke and Duchess do not know the sex of their baby and don't want to find out," a source said.

Prince William will reportedly be at the delivery room to witness the baby birth. He is expected to go on a two-week paternity leave.

"Kate and the baby are his first priorities, not tradition and protocol," a source told Life & Style. "He wants Kate to be happy and have as much support as she needs."

van Straubenzee is William's oldest and closest friend. They met at Ludgrove Prep School and they travelled together on William's first overseas tour to New Zealand in 2005, according to the Daily Mail.

Van Straubenzee, nicknamed Van, is also amoung a group of selected people who have travelled together with William and Kate on their holidays, according to the paper.
