New York Fashion Week is underway with plenty of drama behind the scenes and Julianne Moore, along with her stunning daughter, is among the cutting sophisticated figures at the event.

Double Act

Moore posed happily with her younger counterpart, Liv Freundlich, at the Bottega Veneta fall-winter 2018 fashion show on Friday, which was held at the historic New York Stock Exchange. The 57-year-old legend was clad in a sophisticated all-black outfit accessorized with an eye-catching orange clutch. Her 15-year-old daughter, meanwhile, was equally stylish in a monochrome butterfly dress and classic black heels.

The mom and daughter tandem also posed with Bottega Veneta creative director Tomas Maier as well as fellow actress Salma Hayek Pinault at the event.

This isn't their first Fashion Week outing together, however. The Oscar-winning actress brought her stylish daughter along with her in 2016, where they were spotted sitting in the front row at a Ralph Lauren show.

According to Moore, both of her kids are very normal and live comparatively low-key lives.

"They live a regular life. I make breakfast for them, my husband drives them to school and we all go to basketball games. Both my kids play a lot of basketball - my son's a really, really good player," she said back then.

"We have family vacations. We're involved in their lives and they don't have jobs. I don't think it's a good thing for kids to work," she added in relation to them possibly joining the industry one day.

It's been an exciting Fashion Week all around, with designer Christian Siriano celebrating his 10th-anniversary show this year. Siriano was heralded for his approach to diversity with models of all sizes, colors, and genders on the catwalk for his show including Ashley Graham.

Likewise, Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham, who debuted at Fashion Week 10 years ago, had her last show in New York before she joins London Fashion Week in September.

Moreover, Beckham was seen to have gone out on a significant high after appearing first as something of a joke among the fashion elite. The designer is reportedly looking to celebrate her 10th anniversary in the field at home, hence the move to showing in London this fall.

"It feels like the right way to round off showing in New York. It's more intimate, like my first shows were," Beckham said.

There is plenty of drama behind the scenes this year, too, with model Gigi Hadid taking aim at body shamers on her social media. Following her appearance at Jeremy Scott's fall-winter 2018 show last Thursday, Hadid took to Twitter to call out those who take an issue with her being too skinny.

Hadid has been undergoing treatment for Hashimoto's disease, which may have had an impact on her fluctuating weight over the years. She famously fought with mother Yolanda on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills over her desire to be a model versus her approach to diet and fitness.
