As the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics is on full swing, athletes from around the world are chasing Olympic glory. One athlete that knows that euphoric feeling is Michael Phelps, but this time in another way.

Enter Beckett Richard

The 23-time gold medal Olympic swimmer and his wife, Nicole Johnson, took to Instagram to introduce to the world the latest member of their family.

"Nicole and I would like to introduce Beckett Richard Phelps to the world! We had a healthy baby boy and a healthy mama," Phelps wrote on his Instagram page.

Phelps stated that he was overjoyed by the news of Beckett's arrival.

Sitting with Johnson was Beckett's big brother, Boomer Robert, who adorably held his new baby brother. The family also has two dogs. Both Johnson and Boomer shared the announcement on their respective Instagram pages.

The Instagram Reaction

Several of Phelps's 3.3 million Instagram followers commented on the gorgeous family photo.

"Congratulations on your new baby boy!! So happy for your new family of 4. Exhausting but fun days ahead of you and your wife. Exhausting but fun days ahead for you and your wife," wrote one Instagram fan.

While fans wished simple congratulations, Huggies decided to post a sweet note on his Instagram page.

"There's nothing like seeing the first hugs between siblings! Congratulations to Boomer and the rest of the Phelps family on Beckett's arrival," wrote a Huggies representative.

Phelps's Family Memories

Several years before Beckett was born, Phelps and Johnson had a public wedding ceremony at Cabo San Lucas in Mexico on Oct. 29, 2016. A few of Phelps's Team USA athletes joined the crowd as Phelps and Johnson became husband and wife. However, Phelps surprised his fans when he announced that the couple had a private ceremony in Paradise Valley, Arizona, on June 13, 2016.

In addition, Phelps showcased his superstar skills after he lip-synced Eminem's "Lose Yourself" for Lip Sync Battle: All-Stars Live.

He also officially retired from competing in the Olympics following the conclusion of the 2016 Rio Olympics.
