Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus takes a glamorous selfie to celebrate a successful surgery related to her fight against breast cancer.

The 57-year-old television veteran is exuding pure positivity in her post-op social media post, providing hope for her fans that she's well and truly on her way to a complete recovery.

Dreyfus revealed her cancer diagnosis back in September.

Celebrating the last day of her chemotherapy is an important achievement, and Dreyfus took to social media to share her joy with her fans.

The actress acknowledges her great doctors and the positive results on her Twitter account, calling it her first post-op picture. In the image, Dreyfus's face and hair are fully made up, showing that she's indeed ready to rock the road to recovery.

Last month, the award-winning star also posted a goofy video her two sons made of her on her Instagram account, commemorating her last day of chemotherapy. Her sons' video consisted of the two men rocking out to Michael Jackson's "Beat It."

"Ain't they sweet?" she wrote in the caption.

The actress has been praised by costars and fellow celebrities for her willingness to open up about her disease in her social media pages.

"I would hide if I had an illness like that, but she's very brave and also better for it because she's helped other women and other women have supported her," her Veep colleague Matt Walsh explains to Entertainment Weekly. "It's a really unique, brave thing she's doing just by being so out there with it."

'Veep' Ready To Get Back On Track

With her treatment finished, Dreyfus is getting ready to get back on the set of Emmy-winning show Veep. While the hit HBO comedy is skipping the entire year, the cast and crew are all set to film their final season on August.

Walsh reveals that Dreyfus has been part of some of the table reads even while she recuperated from breast cancer.

HBO programming president Casey Bloys confirms the "big season" that the people behind Veep is planning. While the executive doesn't specify a start date of production, he adds that the team is currently waiting for Dreyfus to be well enough before they begin shooting.

Veep is slated to return in 2019.
