It's the year of the women! While Hollywood and the world have drastically called for a change in the male-dominated industry, many also want a change in the White House. After providing a riveting speech at the 2018 Golden Globes, Oprah Winfrey became that beacon of hope the world is looking for.

But despite the urging and pleading of her fellow entertainers and colleagues, Winfrey has declined and denied that she would ever change her name to Madame President. During an interview on 60 minutes, Winfrey elaborates on the powerful acceptance she gave at the Golden Globes and why she almost considered running for office.

President O?

CBS This Morning aired a teaser clip of Winfrey speaking with Ann Silvo about her speech and if Winfrey meant to cause the rumor that she would be running for President.

"Are you kidding me? I was just trying to give a good speech, I was looking for a way to express what was going on in this moment in terms of gender and class and race," Winfrey stated.

The Queen of Daytime TV, who won the Cecil B. DeMille award at the Golden Globes, did state that the idea of running did cross her mind after speaking with her close friend, Gayle King, and receiving numerous phone calls from wealthy donors.

"I had a lot of wealthy men calling me, telling me they would run my campaign and raise a billion dollars for me. I think when you have that many people whose opinions you value coming at you, it's worthy of thinking about," she continued

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to convince the former talk show host to make the presidential bid for 2020 as she confessed that it's "not in her DNA" to become the leader of America.

"I've never looked outside for other people to tell me when I should be making a move. And wouldn't I know? If God wanted me to run, wouldn't God tell me? I haven't heard that."

However, that doesn't mean Winfrey won't continue making a difference in the lives of those who are in need. The actress stated that she does feel she has a responsibility to continue to spread hope and peace since she does have a big voice in this country.

Winfrey will be starring in the upcoming film, A Wrinkle In Time, alongside, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kalling, and Storm Reid. The film will hit theaters Mar. 9, 2018. Winfrey's interview will air Sunday on CBS.
